HI LSPDFR fam! I desperately need some help. 

 

On a new clean copy of GTA V via Steam, I manually installed RPH to my GTA directory folder. I have made sure my antivirus has the folder excluded and that my compatibility properties for the folder are not set to run an admin. I've disabled my Steam and GeForce overlays. My settings are set to plugin timeout threshold to 60000 and windowed. I have tried launching RPH straight from my desktop as well as once I'm playing in story mode to no avail. It seems to be hooking properly, boots through to loading game and when loading from desktop, it will open GTA V to the base game but never successfully to RPH/LSPDFR. 

The only irregularity that I'm experiencing is that when I tried to load straight from RPH, I get a steam error saying
"Launch Game with custom arguments

Grand Theft Auto V is attempting to launch with optional parameters show below:

-skipPatcherCheck -launchTitleInFolder
"D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V"

If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options, select Cancel
(Continue) or (Cancel)"

 

In steam, my option launch properties available are Ask When Starting Game, Play GTA V or Play GTA V Online. 

I am going absolutely crazy trying to figure this out. Is there any additional plugins or mods I need to download? Has anyone else had and rectified this issue? I've browsed through similar topics, and it seems like no one has been able to quite find a fix for it. Please let me know if you have any ideas! Thank you SO much in advance for your help.

I've also been experiencing this and have been in contact with some people over in the RPH Discord. When you open the RPH settings, does it report your GTA V as "Retail?"

@gravyburger actually yes it does, I got it through steam. Says on the bottom my version is Grand Theft Auto V v.1.0.3274.0 Retail

 

were you able to find a fix given the retail information?

What happens if you launch normal GTA V first and then once fully in story mode, you tab out and launch RPH?

Hiya!! Unfortunately, nothing triggers. The hook connects and sets to “launching game,” but nothing happens in the story mode. My f4 doesn’t trigger anything. I’ve tried different keys just in case my keyboard was acting up to no avail.

 

RPH wasn’t logging until when I tried again yesterday, so I feel like I’m making small progress. Is my steam launcher (the -skipPatcherCheck etc bit) having anything to do with it you think?

 

not sure if the retail copy that the previous commenter might have anything to do with it, haven’t read anything about that.

All copies should be working fine (though not so much after this new update). Best to wait for RPH/LSPDFR to update for now and then we can try again once they do.
