by image, are you talking about a .png?

 

if so this is just a texture, you will need to use SparkIV to open the .wtd and then import the texture over the sign1-4 as required.

which is what i assumed, so I told you how to install the skin, make sure you have the model that it was made for. When you downloaded the file, it would have told you what model it was designed for.
