Keep Getting a Root Element is Missing Error / System.XML.XMLException

Featured Replies

Hey everyone. Been having an issue with LSPDFR. I have made no changes, no new mods, no edits to any configuration files, nothing, since yesterday, and all day today, I have been getting the same error message:

[7/24/2024 10:29:28 PM.651] Unhandled exception occurred in console command "ForceDuty"
[7/24/2024 10:29:28 PM.651] Exception type: System.Xml.XmlException

I presume this is either something to do with UltimateBackup, or something with the xml files in the LSPDFR -> Data folder, however, nothing has worked. Would really appreciate some extra insight! 🙂

About Me

Hi! My name is Shelby. I am 25yo and am currently employed as a Sheriffs Deputy in my home state of Oklahoma. I have always had a deep passion for Law Enforcement and have been pursuing my dream since I was a mere child. I am very blessed to have my dream job now, and I come and play LSPD:FR when I am off or have downtime. I have been using LSPD:FR since I was a teenager in High School, LCPD:FR when I was a child, and I love it!

I'm also a programmer, mod developer (PC & Xbox 360) and hardware hacker when I have the time, major Xbox 360 hacker with thousands of consoles under my belt. I love to mod consoles and get linux running on anything, haha.
