Game crashes loading LSPDFR

Spoiler

my game will not load up and keeps crashing right before you start playing the actual character. Everything was working perfectly and then I installed "custom the border V2.0.1" and seen that my game started to crash with it. So I used his uninstaller and removed the files from open IV, and deleted the folder from the DLC list and the game still crashes. I for sure need help with this one because I am stuck with it.

Hey there!

Please rename your mods folder to _mods & retry. This will temporarily disable your mods folder to determine if the issue lies in there.

Let me know how you get on. 😄

Also the mod I installed was customize the border which I think mods the map, so maybe thats what it is? I just dont know where the map mods and such are. or what files it would of modded. Like i said before, the mod came with an uninstaller and it still crashes. its a sad day

Things you can do:
1. Install the Gameconfig, Heap Adjuster, and Packfile Adjuster.

2. If that does not work, remove what you have added one by one and test after each removal.

3. If you still cannot find the issue, restart your mods folder.

I can try to reinstall the 3 files mentioned but I literally was playing this before I installed the customize the border file and after that my game just won't load up, crashes and is a continuous black screen with a spinning LSPDFR loading in the corner. Im not sure the uninstaller actually worked. I looked at the assembly.xml file and it has a path.rpf file that it installs but im not sure it is taking that file out when I use the uninstaller.

yea doesnt work. This is a map mod so im guessing I would need to do something with that. is there a way to get original files? this is crazy. almost not even worth trying to play anymore. I have alot of mods that have been working for awhile and one file is going to cause me to not be able to play this. crazy

I added both the install assembly and the uninstall assembly file. Like I said, i am unsure it is uninstalling the mod correctly. I wish I would have never touched this mod knowing it was going to break my game

sorry to add so much stuff but just want to give you as much info as possible to try and figure this out if possible. this is a ss from a discord server. said it looks to be map mods and I should remove the map mods from the mods folder. No idea where that is

It's like steps 2 and 3 of my original response said. If you cannot find where you installed certain mods and it is still crashing, you will have to redo your mods folder. It is impossible for anyone to tell what specifically in your mods folder is causing the issue.

ok figured it out. passing this along to you guys so you can help others out if they happen to go through this. file is located in mods/update/update.rpf/x64/levels/gta5 - the file is paths.rpf. I am not sure what is in it that caused the crash but I uploaded all my files except that one to the new installed game and now everything works. The problem was that it removed files out of the folder that needed to be there when I uninstalled it. it showed 259 files and there should of been 274. So far so good with everything working.
