Hello all, having an issue as of today (11/22/2023) where the game is taking a massive sh*t. Worked fine two days ago, then all of a sudden today won’t load. I’ve reinstalled the entire game, runs fine, okay, added all mods back in (custom veh’s, visualV, simple trainer etc and the obligatory script hook etc.) runs fine. BUT, as soon as the ELS.asi is in the main game directory, it just won’t get past the main menu without crashing. I’ve spent hours on this so far, tried it all. Removed ALL vfc’s, still crashed. Updated ASI loader(s) in OpenIV, installed fresh ELS files including fresh ELS.asi. Still crashes. So I’m at a loss here and not sure where to go hopefully one of y’all has had and solved this issue. I have just installed RagePlugin hook as I am writing this so we will see if it works or crashes or at very least generates a crash report.

If there is any error message appears when the game crashes send me a photo for it or the crash code, and send me a photo for the GTA V root files and path

also let me know, does the game crash when it loads with RPH or without RPH?

Please send your ELS.log, asiloader.log, and ScriptHookV.log.

Hey Y’all thanks it took me a while to get back, been out of town with work for the past couple days. There is no crash message when the game crashes, as well as when running RPH the crash report doesn’t specify anything indicating an issue so not sure. Find attached the ASI log, ELS log and ScripthookV log. Thank you!

Go into ELS/pack_default and remove: fbi.xml.

Send the ELS.log again.

@UnknownBastion  Looks to me like the Els log hasn’t been updated since 11/22/23 which was the last day that it actually ran. Also this is without any VFC’s and it actually did crash without the ELS.ASI. Checked asi loader and scripthook log everything was loading as it should

Just to try. Add the ELS.asi back. Rename the ELS folder to _ELS and try playing again.

Update: removed mods folder but retained ELS.ASI and all ELS VFC’s worked fine, all VFCs loaded no crash or issue in log. So adding Mod folder back in and launching, so at this point seems like it has nothing to do with the ELS.ASI and everything to do with the mods folder. So I’ll go through on my own and re install my vehicles, handling etc. thank you for all your help!

Final update for this topic before it gets closed, there was a discrepancy in my Vehicles.Meta file. Not sure why it seemed like the ELS.ASI was causing the problems but it is all good now.

The issue with ELS was the fbi.xml. The VCF files. Not the meta file.
