Hello! I recently used LML to install EUP. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the process and everything was working perfectly, except one minor thing. I noticed that I was not able to set rank decals for my character's police uniform. Then I disabled LML, reinstalled EUP via OpenIV (using .oiv file) and ranks were back. I am not the only one with this issue, so the problem is definitely not in the EUP mod or the way I installed the mod.

 

So, my suggestion is that LML is blocking GTA:Online connection way too actively, which results in broken decals.

I am not sure if it can be categorized as a bug, but it surely causes inconvenience to users, as they cannot see decals on their outfits. I hope this is going to be fixed in further updates.

 

This is of course a great security feature not to go to Online accidentally, but it breaks some functionality. Also, RAGE Plugin Hook already blocks Online connection (and may also break decals sometime, but is much easier to fix by yourself), which means that people using RPH will not be able to go to Online even without using LML. So, blocking may be disabled or there may be a toggle in the ModManager settings that blocks connection to Online (connection is blocked by default, but can be allowed back).

Additionally, when using LML, it always forces the singleplayer loading when the game is launched, even if the landing page is enabled in settings. It may not be convenient if players want to enter the game just to make changes to game settings (especially those with lower end PCs without SSDs).

As you said yourself, this is due to online being disabled when LML is loaded. Since b2699 changed this up quite a bit, the old functionality that allowed decals to work no longer works. It could probably be worked around, but it is nothing I have looked into too much yet and don't think I will have time to do anytime soon.
