I'm trying to change los santos into los angeles so I tried to replace all police cars with their real life counterparts but when i try to replace the SWAT van with a lenco bearcat made by t0y (using a lapd skin) it still shows up as the NOOSE van in game. 

I've opened the files in OpenIV and they all show up as the bearcat but it wont show up in game, please help.

What's the location you put the vehicle in? You have to put it into a higher patchday folder

I put it in x64e where i put all of my cars.


I  also put it in one of the original patchdays since that was the only one with the riot van in it.

Put the car in patchday28ng

I'm gonna do that right now, I will update you if it works or not.

btw, I should leave the main directory vanilla but put the bearcat in my mods folder copy of 28ng or put it in the main version?

You never put mods outside of the mod folder
