Issue with FiveM specific cars and extras

Featured Replies

I installed two things, a pack and a separate car from a different author.  Both work, however, the vehicle extras are broken.  When I go through my trainer (tried multiple), toggling extras does nothing.  If I repair the vehicle, the extras show up.  I tried to force the extras to spawn both from the vehicles meta and from ultimatebackup backup units, neither worked.  Additionally, I installed two of the cars from that pack into my sheriff and sheriff2 slot, same exact thing, extras don't work.  I'm really confused, because to my knowledge, fivem cars are built the exact same way as non els for singleplayer.  There's no reason at all the extras, of all things, shouldn't be working.

This probably isn't exclusively an LML issue, but since LML is aimed at letting you install these fivem cars for singleplayer, I thought it was worth mentioning.

Does this also happen when you install the vehicle through OIV?

When you say through oiv, do you mean manually placing the vehicles in a vehicles.rpf? If yes, yep, same thing.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for confirming. I suppose that means LML works "as intended" in the sense of how files get loaded but I do agree and see your point about looking into ways of making it more convenient. Perhaps just calling repair on each newly spawned vehicle works and it should not have any side effects (I think?). If you could confirm this for a few more models (spawn them, repair them), that would be great. Then I could see about including such an option automatically in the future.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Would the repair also work for cars spawned from back up, though?  I can confirm it on all models.  Car works fine except the extras.

Well, my thinking was just hooking the generic game car spawn and calling repair on each vehicle after it was spawned. I don't think this would cause any problems as they are newly spawned (though I might find out some).

Alright, thanks.  Hopefully it works out.

Any update on this?  I really love LML for the simplicity of installing non-ELS cars, but this extra issue is makes using them not feasible since AI do not spawn using any of the extras I specified.
