help with GetPedHeadBlendData (capturing MP Freemode ped details)

In my backup / recovery plugin the one thing I am struggling with is backing up the MP_M_FREEMODE_01 and MP_F_FREEMODE_01 peds as these will just come back as their default bald counterparts. 

 

I have found that for these specifically, I need to use the native Get_Ped_Head_Blend_Data which comes as a structure format. I have tried everything but am failing as I am not that good at coding. Does anybody have a working example or can help me work out how to do this? 

All I want to do is capture the information to write to xml so I can restore it later? 

 

I found a few discussions online but struggling to make head nor tail of them.
