Texture Loss and Replacing Vehicles

Featured Replies

Hey, im experiencing same issue for last several days - my cars dont exceed even 15mb on their weight but i get texture pop ups anyway. The fix that for now is working for me is to turn down textures to medium - i know, it might be painful at some places but at least there are no pop ups. It is not hardware related because i have rtx 2070 super gpu that is way above recommended.

Yeah it's not hardware based most of the time. GTA can't handle it properly..

Hi! Recently, I've been having some issues with texture loss even after disabling preloading in the .ini. After doing some research, I downscaled all of my cars' textures from 4k to 2k, but that didn't seem to help much. The most recent advice I've been given is not to replace cars at all and only use add-ons, but I really want non-vanilla cars to spawn in the world and be used by NPCs. Unfortunately, that seems to be causing most of the texture loss. I've also installed Natural Vision this time, so that might be a problem, but I'd like to keep that if possible as well. I figured I'd ask about it here before I give up entirely since you guys might know more, so: are there any other tips or tricks for dealing with texture loss while keeping replaced cars and NVE?

Thanks!

it is possible you haven't downscaled enough...
go to where the bulk of your replace cars are installed in openiv and send a screenshot so I can see the sizes of the files...

hey i have it on false since day 1 of installing lcpdfr 🙂  cars are not even close to hard limit and having preload on false didn't help at all, only dropping down texture settings in game which mades me think that it is engine related

anyway for me it is solved and im clueless why i am showed as author, when original topic was made by ruger392🤣
