Issues with clean install.

Hi everyone, 🙂

It's been a while, i thought I would get back into some GTA V modding and LSPDFR and since it has been a while I thought I'd start a fresh install.

However I have yet to get past installing LSPDFR and Scripthook, RageNATIVEui etc and RPH always comes back with:

Quote

Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus.

Please try again. If the problem persists, please restart your computer.

I reset PC to no avail and re-started clean again and tried LSPDFR ONLY it gave same error again, I restarted and it worked. Tried to add usual scripthooks, ragenativeuis etc then same error so restarted again same error. Tried a third time to LSPDFR ONLY again and same error restarted and same error still.

Has there been a change to how we mod GTA?

GTA V - v1.0.2628.2 Steam

RPH V1.93.1305.16293 PUBLIC

Thanks for any help offered 😄

Probably give up for tonight but if sanyone replies  with help I shall try and feed bacvk tomorrow.

You probably already have but install rage from the manual download zip (So essentially install lspdfr manually as oppose to with the setup.exe)

the rage in the lspdfr files works better than the one from the rage website from what I've seen in the forums.

If that doesn't work try unchecking "read only" in the folder properties for the gta5 gamefolder

if that does not work try running it as admin?

Otherwise I'd wait for someone else with more knowledge to assist you

I think it may be sorted I found a post elsewhere saying to disable Nvidia overlay and it seems to have fixed my issue so far seems odd when it used to work fine but fingers crossed things go smoothly as I re add my mods 🙂

Just btw whilst it is generally preferable to install RPH from the manual download as it gives you more control and you can see what you are doing it has no effect on how RPH runs. Install through the automatic installer does not cause more hooking issues then the manual install method. For future reference there is a RPH FAQ that covers pretty much anything that could go wrong with RPH
