sorry brand new gamer.  Thought I followed the video to a T.  after installing and starting steam the game loads and then right before starting the game crashes.  I have updated everything i could.  I unchecked all plug ins on loading.  it still crashes.  Im new to PC so confused haha

if you have scripthook V installed then take it out. GTA had an update and scripthook V is now out of date. gotta wait for a new one to come out

1. are you getting any sort of error messages?

2a. Are you able to launch regular GTA and load in story mode and move your character around?

2b. If you cannot try renaming your mods folder to _mods Then try start your game again.

I am able to load GTA 5 and move around.  I went through all of the beginning and made it to Franklin.  I dont have any mods downloaded or anything I just wanted to ty it out.  It says something along the lines if there may be something wrong with the game, a plug in, or loading.  I uninstalled and am currently reinstalling both GTA and lspdfr.  

I have seen that script hook is out of date and people are waiting on the update.  I wasn't sure of you needed it, I didn't think you did.

for future reference uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game is almost never necessary and there are many other less destructive steps that can be done first.
