Crash to Desktop

Featured Replies

Good morning,

I am a returning user of the mod and reinstalled it after a little time to have fun. Sadly, it keeps on crashing my game to desktop even with a clean install of the game (I erased all files and redownloaded them with steam). I tried adding a gameconfig, heap ajuster, etc... with no success. I tried installing LSPDFR with the .exe and the .zip, but it doesn't work either way. This is what happens:

I tried the game with no mods and it works fine. Then, I installed LSPDFR. The game start, I go to the police station (Any, I doesn't seem to matter. I tried a couple). Create my player and go on duty. I played for a while with no issue. The problem occur when I go off duty with my player and get back on duty, the game crashed when I get near a police station or appartment. If I start the game with LSPDFR, it works and I get to play with my created player, but as soon as I try to leave the appartment (or get to a police station, if I get the drop out animation instead of being in my appartment), the game crash to desktop. Ragepluginhook crashed to be exact, it generates a report.

I joined the log for you to check, let me know if you see something and have an idea. I'll continue trying stuff, but I can't find anything for the moment.

Other than that, have you installed anything else like trainers, mods, vehicles etc.?

During that test, yes, I had some other mods installed. I tried without anything and still got the same crash.

After more attempts, if I spawn away from any stations in LOS SANTOS, I am fine. I can play everywhere else on the map. It only crashes when I get close to a police station in Los Santos. Stations away from the city, smaller stations, it doesn't crash. When I get right beside any of the big stations or try to get out of the appartment using the door, it crashes. I was able to get in the appartment, but not getting out. The only way out is by teleporting myself somewhere with a trainer or RPH.

That was a known bug in the previous version of lspdfr. in your log you are using the latest lspdfr version.

Ok, I've managed to fix it. Thanks you for your help though.

It was probably the settings.xml files in my documents that was creating a problem with the mod. I had forgotten that it was modified to increase city density and variety. I reset it and now it works.

Sorry about that! Glad I can finally play. Next time, I will know where to check. Haha!
