Hi Team,

My very stable game suddenly will not load barely past the opening Rage loading screen. 

I added a few "new" plugins, however the game is not even getting to the loading of LSPDFR therefore something in my root directory must be off. 

I removed the script file from my root directory (was trying to use the new callouts for mission maker)

I did not make any unusual recent edits to major mandatory files except the vehicles meta which looks ok to me. 

I have added the crash log here for anyone's experienced eyes to check.

I appreciate the support networks help on this.

It doesn't look like it is Rage causing the issue here as the logs just suddenly stop with no error. 

 

Usually when I have this type of crash, it is something in the mods folder - so possibly the vehicles.meta change? 

 

A quick way to check is rename the mods folder to something else - e.g. mods-old then see of you can get in the game. If that works, then it is something in there and I would start with looking back at the vehicles.meta again. 

I can't believe it but it was the vehicles meta. I found the single word which screwed the whole code up.

Fixed and now loading thankfully.

Glad you fixed it. 

 

Even after (probably) 20 years of coding and stuff I still find there is usually a missing comma, bracket or something causing frustration for months until you find it after pulling all your hear out 🙂

A missing comma, bracket, (for example) in C# leads to a clear compiler error.

There is no clear messages suggesting that your files broke in GTA.

If only everything gave you compiler errors - unfortunately I am older than C#
