How To Run Gta Iv In Windows 8

Featured Replies

Windows 8 has already been causing some issues for people when they want to play IV, the game fails to start and throws up a securom error which could normally be easily fixed in other operating systems like 7 and vista.

However, there is a way.

1. Follow the steps here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=534929

2. As stated by LCPD-74 in a previous thread, you need to do the following:

Head onto your Control Panel and uninstall "GFWL Redistribute and Marketplace"

Once done, download the newer version from here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/downloadclient

Once installed, run the game as an administrator and it should work.

Happy Gaming
