I am just getting around to installing addon vehicles and I downloaded one I never used before and installed it.  It is a LS city police vehicle and when the game loads it starts me in vinewood hills at the safehouse which is all good.  Once I get into city limits, in less then a minute Rage Crashes.  The last line in the log says preloading (the model name) of the vehicle.  That is the addon vehicle.  Every crash is where it crashes while loading that vehicle and once I get into city limits which is obvious since it is a city police.  I removed the vehicle.  I installed an addon that I know works, used it before and it loads in game and playable.  I checked the vehicle meta and carvaration that came with it to see if there is anything I could see wrong.  In the pic, after 500.000000 there is a few spaces.  Could that cause the crash?  Also on the </Item> there is a few spaces.  Is that the problem.  In the vehicle meta & caravaration I noticed there are a few spaces after the close bracket Item line.  None of the other metas or carvar has that.  I thought the game wouldn't load, like Rage would just shut down while loading (before getting in game) if there was a problem in metas or carvar.  I'm not sure now.

 

Anyway i'm going to delete the extra spaces in both those files and re-install.  See if maybe that was the problem.  I'll let you know.  But I would like to know what you all think about the extras spaces.  Also, I've installed 20 or so addons when it was on my old drive and all worked perfectly so I'm not new to this.  I know about the gameconfig, heap adjuster, packfile and "most" of all that other stuff about adding vehicles, except for what I just mentioned 😀.  Maybe I did screw up.  Here are 2 pics edited together.
