Force Duty / Station "GoOnDuty" Crash

Featured Replies

Good evening,

LSPDFR has been working well since I rebuilt my setup however randomly there now seems to be an issue whenever I "Force Duty" or head to the police station to "Go On Duty" LSPDFR crashes. I did some research and there is some chatter from late last year about some character issue and EUP. As mentioned, the game was working fine until it was not. Here is the crash log when I type in "Force Duty." Maybe someone who has seen this before can offer some insight or support. Definitely  a frustrating situation to be stable one day and complete unplayable the next.

Thank you in advance for anyone's insight or support.

Seems like you've messed up an .xml.

Any recent xml changes that come to mind?
According to the log, you put a '<' instead of a '>' in line 854 of the xml.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply.

Honestly not that I recall. But I suspect (as I did read the same error) maybe ill need to replace all my files again.

I wish I knew what .xml it was referring too. It would be easy to fix if I knew which one.

Thank you

Hey,

Try renaming plugins/LSPDFR to plugins/_LSPDFR and see if it loads.

If it does, that means one of the .xml's in the LSPDFR folder, which makes it more easy to troubleshoot.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I followed your instructions, the game loaded well, I Forced Duty and I had no issues. So the crash is from within the LSPDFR folder. I will troubleshoot which file could be broken.

Hi Jeff,

I honestly think it is Ultimate Backup. I just cannot place where inside all the files the issue is. Its the only plugin that malfunctions during Force Duty it seems.

If it Ultimate Backup, your XML's are located in GTAV/Plugins/LSPDFR/UltimateBackup

Run those through an XML validator and ideally, you should find which file(s) are causing the crash.

I found the exact error.

It was in the custom back up .xml - line 854 as it stated. Took me a while to find the error but i got there. Thanks everyone. Working like a charm now.
