[Solved] Unknown old siren that is unheard-of

Featured Replies

So I was searching different siren model and watched demo video of various siren controllers, I found this unknown siren.

Wail, yelp and the hyper-yelp sounds just like altered tones from a last-gen Code3 Premier Hazard siren system (e.g. 6000 and 7000 series controllers)
Uploader of this video and all the viewer who commented did not know what exactly the siren is named or the manufacturer that made this, as there is nothing for identification like company logo or model number.
Does anyone know what this siren is and which manufacturer made it?

From what I can find out it's technically a Smith and Wesson siren under a different name. Smith and Wesson were making emergency vehicle equipment until the '80s when their line was transferred to another company which then became C&V Electronics, who made the CV-100. C&V didn't seem to last that long and were acquired by Premier Hazard in the early '90s which is why it sounds so similar to those sirens.

Take a look at the Smith and Wesson siren box, it's extremely similar, sharing the same dial design and colour scheme. This is the Model 800, it sounds extremely similar too.

Thank you so much!

I really appreciate your comment as it really helped me to identify the siren and it's cool to know some siren manufacturer history : )
