LSPDFR controls are messed up

Ive recently downloaded LSPDFR from following Benzo YouTube tutorials. after playing for a while with just the basic stuff ( I use a xbox controller) everything was fine. I then went back to Benzo's Youtube and watch how to add plugins. I did that after doing the plugins my controls on my controller are now different for example. To activate my lights i have to press right on the D-Pad, and to turn my siren on have to press down on the D-Pad. But as before it was I just had to click the left stick in once. I wouldn't have a problem about the button switch if when i pressed the buttons it interferes with other choices. Im not sure what i did wrong or if anyone else has had these issues. I am new to this so any help would be nice.
