Hey guys, I just got GTA IV from steam two days ago. When I press Play, it won't start.

At first I thought it was a compatibility problem, it was running on Windows 8 Pro.

So I decided to install it on my other computer which is a Windows Vista Ultimate it also won't start?

What is the problem?

    Do you have any mods installed? Is it all really untouched?

    If so, run the game as admin. Since it's going through steam, you'll need to exit out of steam and restart it as admin.

    EDIT: Also, if it still fails to start. Do Windows Update and make sure you have the latest updates, who knows, it might fix it.
