Investigation mode problem

Featured Replies

So with the new update, seems like cops can investigate an area and arrest in a more peaceful way the suspects. But afaik suspects either in pursuit or recently discovered(like a suspect vehicle event) will try to flee  everytime you are close to them. So that video showing how npc cops can arrest in that way can be possible only manually(like a console command) and never naturally since there are no callouts or random events regarding it. Also I noticed while in search mode some npc cones turning white instead of blue, maybe it's related to the investigation approach thing. I kinda wanna know more how to let's say actually encounter some situation where investigation mode comes in handy or automatically initiate itself. @LMSseems like it's your domain for a more detailed explanation in a gameplay perspective rather than in an developer one.

You need to report these incidents yourself and it will only work for non-violent crimes, such as a ped harassing or shoving another ped (or yourself). Once in combat, normal pursuit mechanics will be used.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

So a non-violent crime in the code means no weapon used or not a death-threatening action? Cuz the farthest crime-related stuff I can think of happening in the game is a fighting (or as the console says an agitation event). So is that included in your world ''harrasing''? cuz shoving another ped makes him curse and then he can start a fight by itself. So you're saying that when a ped becomes angry that is pushed away and starts saying threatening words to you, you can report that as well before it gets worse?

No offense but kinda vague your answer, I wanna learn more about how this thing can happen and specifically what a non-violent crime means or is recognized

@LMSAs far as I know the investigation short video has been initiated by a command which I have played with it myself as well, if it's not happening in the game naturally it's like a cut content

We just wanna know how to enjoy the new update and not to say like everyone else '' oh new update let's wait for some key plugins to update to play the same stuff over again''
