Hello everyone, I've played LSPDFR for a while now and got back into it recently. I have a separate backup for LSPDR and I run the epic games version of the game. I recently installed the hybrid vehicles pack with ELS via OpenIV with the installer. OpenIV said then that my update.rpf was out of date and my game could crash if I didn't update it. I listened to this and updated but then, all of my issues occurred. I couldn't load into the game past 'Populating world'. I could get in but after loading, it would crash. I know that this isn't a plugin error as the crashing also happened when I launch that version of the game without Rage. It loads storymode for a bit, and the crashes.

 

I created a forum with this information and tried changing my mods folder to _mods. This worked but stopped working after I installed the car pack. The final help I got was that there's an issue with my kernelbase.dll file in my windows system folder but the person who helped me didn't have any experience with this. Please help me with this issue. The rage crash report is below.

There is no way the vehicle pack would be the issue if mods was renamed to _mods. If it was still crashing after that, then its something in the Main Directory. To me, this sounds like you installed the vehicle pack and renamed _mods back to mods. In your case, you could probably benefit from installing the Gameconfig by F7YO. I recommend using the 1,5x Traffic and 1,5x Peds. The readme will have the installation guide. You will also need the Heap Limit Adjuster. That can just be installed to your Main Directory.

I am gonna need your RPH Crash Log. Its in the Main Directory and  is a txt file either called RagePluginHook or RagePluginHook.log.

First off, Thanks for the support! The issue is that I've already tried installing both of those as previous feedback. I tried it and it made no difference. I still have those files installed and I even tried a default game config replacement file but that made no difference either. I have attached my latest RPH log and the main RPH log as I didn't know which one you wanted.

No problem! Now, try renaming the mods folder to _mods and see what happens. I know you tried it in the past but I just want to double check. If it doesnt crash, that means that something in your mods folder is causing the issue and you will have to remove what you added one-by-one and test after each removal to find the problem mod. If it crashes even with the mods folder renamed, remove ScriptHookV.dll and then test again. If it doesnt crash, add ScriptHookV.dll back and launch again to force the crash. Then send your ScriptHookV.log

Now, in regards to that kernelbase, I know it has something to with LSPDFR. I suggest a clean install of LSPDFR and then RPH and see if that helps. But let's focus on the game crashing issue for now.

Also, something to keep in mind, the file called RagePluginHook.log will always be your most recent log, so you only need to send that.

My mods folder is still renamed to _mods and it crashes. I also tried removing ScriptHookV.dll but it still crashed. I will try uninstalling both LSPDFR and Rage and get back to you about whether it worked or not. 

I tried reinstalling LSPDFR and rage but my game still crashed on loading story mode.

Send a screenshot of your Main Directory.

Here is my Main Directory 

Rename ELS to _ELS and see if the issue persists. If it is still crashing, try verifying your game files as shown below:

No problem! Get the manual version. Follow the installation guide. You also need the Gameconfig and Heap Adjuster I mentioned before.


Also, in regards you saying it worked, what did? Verifying or renaming ELS to _ELS?

Sorry for the late reply but yes, the renaming worked. I renamed it and tried but it crashed and then I verified the files and it worked. And, thanks for all of your help. I'll update you if I still have issue after installing.

Update: I am having issues installing it. I tried the manual install but the model number which is HEV won't show up. I then tried an automated install via OIV which ended up creating another Mods and ELS folder. I then combined these folders with the ones who had the underscore and then tried. It still doesn't show up. What else can I do?

@UnknownBastion Any ideas or suggestions to help with this?

The original issue were having was that an xml installed to ELS/pack_default was causing the issue. Im a bit confused on what your current issue is though.

No. You should just restate a bit more clearly what your new issue is.

Basically, the underscore in front of ELS and mods folders' works but I have to go into the console and type 'ReloadAllPlugins'. My current issue is that I can't install the pack. When I manually install it, there are no changes and I can't even spawn in the vehicle from the pack. I tried installing the pack with the OIV installer and that also makes no difference. ELS also seems to not be working even when I use the default vehicles.
