So guys you probably think im a noob but whats the difference between an i5 3570k and an i5 3570.

I did research this becuase I know it can be annoying when people start forums without even searching! But I searched with little success I know you can overclock the K version, but I wont be overclocking becuase I want my pc to live a long life so....is there any differences between the 2 such as performance etc?

Note : The reason I would like to know this is that it can save me £15 on my new pc (dosn't sound a lot but when your 14 it is! lol)

The one with the "k" at the end is unlocked and able to be overclocked.

Only difference I know is the open multiplicator the 3570k has and which you already mentioned.

Besides that, they're pretty much the same, are having the same TDP and specs.

Well that is what I was told so many times, that overclock ability was the only difference between the two.
