Hello I am new to LSPDFR and new to PC gaming. I do not know much about pc gaming so I have been watching alot of Youtube videos. I purchased GTA V from Steam and have played a few story mode missions. I really want to play LSPDFR so I watched a Youtube video on how to get it set up. I followed the Youtube video step by step and downloaded all the things like Rage Plug in, ASI Files, etc. Once I downloaded all of the necessary things to play I loaded Rage Plug in and clicked Save and continue to load LSPDFR. The Rage Plug in began to load and then stayed on that screen and didnt do anything. I am very confused on what to do now. I apologize as I dont know much about PCs I just really want to play LSPDFR.

How long did you let it run on that loading screen? GTA:V has EXTREMELY long loading times compared to most other games. Additionally did you do the first two story missions before loading Rage? There's a sort of forced tutorial and sometimes having Rage installed during that causes issues. 

It let me run for quite a while. I thought it wasnt working so I closed out of the rage plug in hook. I completed at least two story mode missions. 

 

Do I have to start GTA V and then start Rage Plug in for it to work?

 

No, you have to run the Rage Plugin Hook exe you moved over to your GTA:V folder. 

Did you make sure to unpack that Rage file you downloaded and just move all of that over to the GTA:V game folder (the one your game is running from, not the one where your self radio and save files are) correct? 

Are you playing through steam?

I moved all of my files over to the main GTA V directory where my game is located. 

 

Yes I am playing on steam.
