Help - Loading Replacement Vehicles - Reset when launch GTA

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I hope this is the right spot for this.  I am trying to add custom police vehicles to LSPDFR. I followed a tutorial for add-on vehicles, when I launch the game the vehicles aren't there. So then I tried to do a replacement, I replaced all the police3 files everywhere I could find them (3 spots) using openIV, with and without a mod folder. I used edit mode and verified that they loaded correctly by opening the yft file and seeing the new design. But when I launch the game it resets all the files back to the normal police3 vehicle.

I tried the LML mod manager, but it crashes the game when I have it installed.

Note - I have no other mods or modifications in the game.

Thanks for all your help!

You shouldn't be replacing any files. It's actually pretty straight forward navigate to update > x64 > dlc packs > patchday24 > dlc.rpf > x64 > levels > gta5 > vehicles. turn on edit mode and it will ask you to make a copy to your mods folder, select copy. Now download any vehicle you wanna replace ( make sure it's a replace and not a add on, add ons are done a different way) and simply drag and drop the vehicle files into that folder. also if it's an els car make sure you add the xml to gta 5 root > els > dlc_pack. Now when you start the game you will have the vehicle you replaced 😃 happy modding
