The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Game fails to start after creating mods folder

Hey, I have a quite annoying issue. For some reasons, the game is unable to load after creating "Mods" folder. I tried to start the game with all plugins disabled via Rage Hook plugin with not edited "mods folder", it always ends up with a crash. However, If I change folder name to "_Mods" as mentioned in other thread makes the game launch. Of course, changing the name makes installing custom cars later impossible. I've looked at the crash logs, and the mentioned error is "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". I tried to do everything I could find on the forums support section but without any luck. 

 

And here is the question, how may I fix this issue so I can launch the game with mods folder?

Yes, I copied the "x64" and "Update" folders (to the "mods" folder) but have not done any changes to them.

Try deleting your mods folder.

Then create a new one and go into your update/x64 folders.

Making sure you are in edit mode, you will be met with a red bar that says "copy to mods folder"

So, there is a small issue, the red bar with the option to "copy to mods folder" appears only when I enter an DLC pack (for example Update/x64/Dlcpacks/Mpsum/Dlc.rpf). 

In short, the red bar appears only when I enter an dlc.rpf, but does not when I am browsing the x64 folder.

Yep -> so go to the specific folder you need in your mods folder and copy it.

You don't add anything to the "x64" folder -> you add things to the smaller folder if that makes sense

Okay, it seems like I can now have mods folder and install custom cars without the game crashing (Installed one for testintg). However, I have a question about this method and another issue arise, but I believe it's for the LSPDFR support section. 

 

For example, I use Add on version of modded car, and I must edit the "dlclist" (I copied the "data" folder via OpenIV as recommended). Shall I keep the pre-writen cars or remove them? 

 

Another issue is that now the lspdfr plugin is not able to start, I tried to start the game with it enabled via the Rage Hook pluign - the entire game crashed. If I disable it in Rage Hook plugin, and later load it in-game, it will crash after few seconds. In Rage hook plugin a following error will be printed. I am wondering is this affiliated with the mods folder and is there an option to fix that.

What do you mean by pre-written cars?

Addon vehicles can work alongside replace vehicles

Try reinstalling LSPDFR and if that doesn't work verify your game files.
