Good Morning,

I'm fresh out of the box new to LSPDFR and the PC community (xbox user) but not new to gta, I've been playing from the beginning. I'm hoping to get my new computer some time next week and was hoping for some help / advice on a couple of things. I have done a little bit of research through the forums here as well as a couple of youtube videos on installing the mods and seems pretty straight forward. I'm mainly looking for the most essential mods, I saw the els and some car packs are the most downloaded but was wondering what else most people are running. The second thing I needed help with is a controller mod, I still cant wrap my head around using the keyboard and mouse, been a console player my whole life but understand after reading a little that the keys are needed in some aspects of the game just looking to see what works best in your experience. I appreciate your time for reading this and any tips/tricks would be great. I'm a PST in New Jersey any fellow dispatchers / leos here ?

Hello,

First off, welcome to the Official LSPDFR Forums! Below, I will link you to a few essential mods you will need in order to get the best experience! If you encounter any kind of issue, feel free to check out the Support Subforums (linked below)! Also, for the controller mod, you dont really need one. Just get a controller, plug it in, and play!

Spoiler

Vital:

OpenIV: https://bit.ly/3oc3PCx
(This helps with installing vehicles and any files not normally openable via the Main Directory.)

RagePluginHook: https://bit.ly/3mafcJw
(Self explanatory, this allows you to use Plugins.)

LSPDFR: https://bit.ly/34isld8
(The one and only glorious mod in the flesh...or er....code.)

ScriptHookV: https://bit.ly/31x4xAz
(Allows you to use Trainers and anything that is a script.)

LSPDFR Plugins:

StopThePed: https://bit.ly/37A3Omd
(STP replaces the vanilla LSPDFR functions for handling pedestrians. You can arrest, drag, search, breathalyse, control traffic, search vehicles and so much more!)

Ultimate Backup: https://bit.ly/31uG5Qa
(This plugin is created to replace the default LSPDFR Police Backup menu assist the player during traffic stop, pursuit, and on scene situations. You can also fully customise your units!)

Compulite: https://bit.ly/35mjg2n
(CompuLite is a lore friendly Police Computer plugin for LSPDFR. It allows you to look up ped and vehicle records by using the police computer or tablet. It also has a court system!)

Speed Radar Lite: https://bit.ly/2TebHW3
(Crack down on speeding vehicles with this lightweight yet detailed plugin! )

ALPR Lite: https://bit.ly/35Bb9iP
(Automatically scan nearby vehicles for things such as expired license, stolen vehicle, expired insurance and many more!)

Other Plugins:

GrammarPolice: https://bit.ly/37vrDeK

Deadly Weapons: https://bit.ly/34gfLv9(edited)

Pragmatic Callouts: https://bit.ly/3kldcgZ
(In this pack are callouts for detectives with stories and realistic handling callouts like accidents and much more.)

Regular Callouts: https://bit.ly/356Citz
(This pack aims to switch up the usual 'Pursuit, Shooting,'-Action based callouts and instead make more grounded and everyday callouts received by cops worldwide.)

Typical Callouts: https://bit.ly/3m1kVRP
(I created this callout pack because I noticed a significant lack of callout packs with typical everyday calls that won't end up in a pursuit or a shootout.)

Miscellaneous:

Simple Trainer: https://bit.ly/3jn0VXU
(Trainers allow you to spawn cars, peds, change the time, add weapons and many more. It's basically a cheat menu for singleplayer, and is particularly useful for spawning add-on cars.)

Emergency Lighting System (ELS): https://bit.ly/37uLPNK

Player Location Display: https://bit.ly/2Tgxigk
(Player Location Display is a script modification that displays the player's current location (including street name or intersection, area name, and region) on their screen.)
