Introducing Better Ped Interactions, a plugin which greatly enhances the player's roleplay experience by adding depth to investigations through fully customizable dialogue.

 

Features (may already be implemented, or implementation is planned)

• 100% customizable dialogue system
• Custom XMLs: Callout creators may create their own callout-specific XMLs to be used alongside other custom dialogue
• Interview/Interrogation system: Questions may be set as "interrogation" or "interview," differentiated by text color in-game
• Truth/Lie system: Responses may be set as "truth" or "lie"
• Organic responses: Peds are encouraged to answer different questions in a logical manner using the truth/lie system (though there is a chance they may deviate, since people can be unpredictable!)
• Agitation system: Peds may become agitated if they are interrogated too much. Manage your interaction by observing visual queues which may hint at other actions the ped may be about to take
• Vocal interface: Use your voice to conduct your investigations instead of navigating the in-game menu
• Interact with other first responders: Custom menus and dialogue options for police, firefighters, and paramedics

 

Better Ped Interactions is now available for early-access testing to supporters.  Help build this plugin by providing critical feedback and suggestions during development.

Better Ped Interactions V0.0.2.0 has been released in early access for supporters. This version includes an overhauled XML structure, dynamic menus, a persistent vocal interface which allows you to talk to peds with your voice, and a plethora of bug fixes. See the cheesy, low quality video below for an example of what's possible.

I would unfortunately presume yes... it's been 2 years since an update on this thread and the original poster has not been active since February.

But I still don't give up hope that someone will make voice or chat communication with peds like a AI neural network or chat GPT. I will be waiting for this moment!
