Game Crash Upon Startup

Featured Replies

I seem to be having an issue where my game will crash upon entering certain areas of the map, specifically areas in Blaine County around Grapeseed and Sandy Shores (there may be other areas but I have yet to find them). I am aware that this topic has been covered by several other posts, however I have been able to rule out any of those issues, since I have:

  • Verified all of my game files
  • Ensured that RPH is up to date
  • Confirmed that the game still crashes when off duty, thus ruling out that it may be a callout plugin or other duty-related mod

These are all of the issues that I've seen posted about for this topic, so I'm not sure of anything else that I could do to fix this unless something else is out of date that I may have forgotten about.

One observation that I made was that the game also crashes while I'm playing in story mode without Rage Hook running, so I am unsure of exactly what to do from here. Thanks

Can you rename your mods folder to _mods and try again?

I'm able to load RPH and drive around without any issues, including in the problem areas

Really? That's good. That means the problem is inside your mods folder.

You can choose to delete your mods one by one or you can choose to start over.

Turns out it was a replacement vehicle (or several) in one of my patchday files. All I did was remove the dlcpacks and paste the original game files over. Thanks again for your help!
