Where do I put the downloaded mods?

Featured Replies

Hey, I downloaded a few mods but im unsure where to put them file-wise. I first put them in the plugins folder in the GTA folder, but after looking around I found out they needed to be just in the GTA folder. Yet they still arent showing up in game. Do I have to activate them somehow? Does it vary between mods?

Copied directly from the provided readme:
Installation:
1. Copy ScriptHookV.dll to the game's main folder, i.e. where GTA5.exe
   is located.
2. In order to load asi plugins you need to have asi loader installed,
you can download it separately or use the latest version that comes
   with this distrib (dinput8.dll).
You must delete old dsound.dll asiloader if you have one installed.
3. This distrib also includes a sample asi plugin - native trainer,
if you need a trainer then copy NativeTrainer.asi as well.

SHV goes in the main directory. I do not know where to install the mods, I'd have to know each one and download each of them myself to know. read the readme that came with each one, if they didn't come with one check the download page for instructions.
