Hi i by accedentaly openedthe eup law and order file with notepad and now i cant download it ive tried reseting default apps for windows but it still wants to open woth notes.

Is there anything i can do to get it back to the normal opening.

To change what you open a file with right click it and select the "open with" option.

All there is to select is apps and ive tried with the apps it doesnt work

I assume you're talking about the OIV file then, that has to be ran in OpenIV, here is a tutorial on how to install EUP. If you are referring to the file it comes packed in (the .rar) try 7Zip.

it doesnt work because the eup  oiv file is trying to open on notepad. all submit a screenshot  

Extract the file into your downloads folder, while in OpenIV select this Icon:
This is what is around the icon

After you click that it will open a new window, go to the location you extracted the oiv to and then select it.
You will get a dialogue box in OpenIV, follow the instructions from there.

it still doesnt work when i go into the game and do reload all plugins it says eup failed you need to to have eup law and order instaled

Make sure you are installing it into your mods folder, also ensure that the dlc list has the entry "<Item>dlcpacks:/EUP/</Item>"

ya it does this is what keeps appearing in game

That most likely means you installed EUP incorrectly, try installing this.
