ELS Vehicles

Featured Replies

Ok so I'm having a wierd issue with ELS. So long story short, i want to use ELS and non ELS vehicles together (so fire trucks actually sound like fire trucks). All the vehicles i have work great and I love each one of them, but when a non ELS vehicle shows up on scene, all the ELS vehicles stop working. Can you not use ELS and non ELS together? Does it really have to be one or the other, or have i just done something wrong?

You should be able to use ELS and non-ELS at the same time. Just make sure all the vehicles have different names. The only thing that makes an ELS vehicle ELS, is the XML you install to ELS/pack_default. Only the vehicles that have XML's in there should be effected by ELS.

Yeah i'm sure I did it before. I know cause I use to have els xml files for vehicles that weren't even els (for siren control) but it's like now all of a sudden...NOPE. It's honestly just more of a nuisance than a real bug but, i wonder what would make that happen all of a sudden tho?

Im not entirely sure....you could try re-installing the files and the vehicles. The only other issue I can think of is maybe either the agency.xml or backup.xml causing issues. Tbh, didn't even know that ELS controlled sirens. Thought it was only lights.

Oh yeah it's great. As long as you have an xml file for a similar model (crown vic xml for non els vic) it makes the vehicle act like els as far as controls, but non els use default lighting.

I would try removing the XML files that you have installed for the non-els cars. Then try again.

I knew you were going to say that 😞 I've tried everything else and might just make all vehicles els. I have to have done something. Might wait till tomorrow, see if anyone else comments a fix.

Roger that....Most likely something was done wrong in one of the XMLs....but we will just have to wait and see.
