Dinput8.dll wont allow me to run my game.

Featured Replies

Having Dinput8.dll (the file accompanied with sripthookv.dll and nativetrainer) causes my game to never start up after leaving the rockstar launcher. If anyone knows a fix or a earlier version of the dinput8.dll that would be greatly appreciated.

@OfficerMod Im having the same issue, removing dinput8 will make the game startup again but the mods folder will not work. i have not found any solutions to it yet, ps are you getting an error called "unrecoverable fault"? rockstar games system blocks dinput 8 so it can't be used online. The only thing i can suggest is try to get in contact with alexander blade and see what he says which im trying myself, if i can find his information.

If you have something that is called c scenario patch in your root directory delete it, and your game should run again. mostly asi scripts can cause it, it just depends on what. dinput8 is not the problem now that i looked deeper into it.

well i deleted mine already but it should be in the root directory. speaking of what asi / script mods do you use? that sounds like the culprit to me. at least one of them.

what would also help is post a picture of your directory so i could get a better look.

OpenAllInteriors, ELS, Redux, ScriptHookV.NET (in addition to ScriptHookV obviously) and other then that just mods folder. Oh and Packfile Limit Adjuster and Heap Limit Adjuster INI

ok i would remove Redux. is that a drag and drop kind of enb?

Umm idk it came with Redux

(Although i had redux before and it worked so)

Well i would remove it, the last time i ever used anenb the update hit and prevented my game from loading. after a month went by trying to figure out what it was removing it helped it start again, and just this recently it was scenario patch responsible. anything asi or enb related is mostly the cause.

but mostly you can narrow it down to just those two things when the game won't start period.

I will remove enbseries and see

Oh i have no enbsereies...

also i forgot to mention with redux re download it again and go through the reshade section and delete every file it came with in the reshade.

reshades are also a culprit.

Remove redux reshad filtrs, didnt help.

Uninstalling reshade and trying again.

Uninstalling reshade did not help.

It didnt work before, but sure!

damn nope

I suggest removing the launcher with the red x and files associated with it. Also show the rest of the folder going to the right.
