Making Negative copy of .PNG for zmodeler model

Featured Replies

Pretty much want to change the middle part of the impala steelies. the steelies come with 2 .png's and ones like a negative copy thats 128X128, im just curious on how to make that negative copy...anyone know?

By 'negative copy' do you mean the normal map or the specular map?

If it's just the specular one, all you'd have to do is convert the coloured texture to black and white. If you want the normal map you should be able to download some relatively simple to use bumpmap/normalmap generators that will take the coloured texture and generate the normal map for you.

well I have a normal map texture that I made with the wheel center of choice, I just need to make the bump

correct, I scaled an image to the specs of the normal map 256X256 and found an image online of the wheel cap I want, and I was able to scale it to size and place it in the middle just as the current normal map for the impala is, and now I need the purple one

Indeed I thank you sir. I was skeptical on posting here and now I see it was indeed the right choice! Thanks chap!
