Can you get banned for GTA V Modding?

Featured Replies

So, i just have a quick question. I got VAC banned recently in CS:GO for apparently "using external software" even though i had nothing running. My concerns we're, that it maybe was the LSPDFR or Scripthook modifications i've just downloaded.

My question is though, can i get banned (in GTA V, or VAC-banned) for modifying GTA?

Hello,

Simple answer is, if you attempt to access the Online while having ScriptHookV, a mods folder, or OpenIV installed, yes you can. However, if you stay in singleplayer and mod your game, you wont. It is recommended that you make multiple directories so you can easily switch between the different version of GTA 5 that you use for LSPDFR, Online, and FiveM.

Hope This Helps! 🙂
