Using IsKeyDown for multiple keys

Featured Replies

Hi

Here is the first of many stupid questions going to be coming from me trying to write a mod.

I have worked out how to use IsKeyDown to recognise when a key is pressed, but also trying to use a modifier key, e.g. Ctrl.

I thought something like would work:

if (Game.IsKeyDown(BackupKey) && Game.IsKeyDown(BackupModifierKey))
     {
         Do stuff here
     }

But it still fires without the modifier key.

Can anyone show me how it should be?

I also want to be able to ignore the modifier if set to "None" but haven't got that far yet.

Many thanks in advance.

Found a working example by @Albo1125 (thank you Albo):

if (Game.IsKeyDown(BackupKey) &&
        (Game.IsKeyDownRightNow(BackupModifierKey) ||
        BackupModifierKey == Keys.None))
        {
             Do stuff here
        }
