Hye,Anyone know how to make my GTA IV run smoothly on good quality? Usually I will get lag on raining.

Heres my spec:

Intel® Core i5 CPU(4 CPUS)

750 @2.67GHz

2.66 GHZ,1.99GB Of RAM

Windows XP Professional

Version 2002

Service Pack 3

Directx 9.0c

NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT

Total memory:512mb

Display mode:1680 x 1050 (32bit) (60Hz)

To be practical, you won't get it to run smoothly AND have good quality, it's simply not possible in GTAIV with those very sub-par specs.

Your best bet would be to turn down your resolution and in-game quality. 2GB of RAM is a severe limitation and I see you're running XP so upgrading the amount of RAM would likely have a neglible effect on the game running speed.

Your other option is getting Windows 7 and more RAM along with a better video card. Having 512MB of video memory in GTAIV is also going to severely limit your experience with the game, you'll need to make a trade-off. Performance or ok graphics.

I'm also speaking from experience because I used to play GTAIV on specs very similar to yours and found no matter what I did I couldn't get both good graphics and good performance.
