I believe I got a virus after downloading lspdfr

Featured Replies

I downloaded lspdfr yesterday and was really excited to play it. So I went to my files to extract the files for the mod however, I noticed a few dodgy looking files (labelled ‘000067’ or so) so I immediately deleted them and ran an anti-virus scan, another thing I noticed was that my computer ran significantly slower after downloading the mod (another sign of a virus), basic tasks like opening file explorer and took abnormal amounts of time

I hope I haven’t gotten a virus and I need your guys help.

Cheers

 Did you download

"Ultimate Backup"
"Stop The Ped"

Or any other of these mods by: bejoijo
Recently I have found that his website has been littered with tons of malware. I would do a full windows defender Offline scan, unfortunately this could take up to 5 hours.
Tell me if this helped or you have already fixed it.

Have a great week Johnny,

   Stay safe my friend.

Hey @Johnny45839,

how are you?

Please be sure that you are using a good anti-virus program!

Nowadays the virus scan / security scan from Windows in Windows Defender is sufficient.

That should help you.

Please contact us if you have downloaded certain add-ons in order to report this to the creators or website operators.

I look forward to your response.

Kind regards

Dominik P.

This is an old thread and will probably be locked, but I wanted to address this.  Bejoijo's mods are 100% safe (as are most LSPDFR plugins) and do not contain anything harmful.

His website is also safe, however, as with most sites, don't click the ads.  Most of the time, ads do not automatically install things simply from you clicking on them.  You have to intentionally click the ad and then click another button or so to actually download. We are not held responsible if you click an ad and download something from there.  Please be aware of what you're downloading and verify 100% it is you intended download item (aka the mods).

It's also worth noting, anti-viruses false flag GTA mods - this is not exclusive to anything of Bejoijo's.  If you search up old posts on this site, you'll find a ton of them about false flags with various plugins.

While I understand his website ads may be annoying, please do not pass around false information that someone's mods are maleware.

His mods are 100% safe, yes, however it used to be when I wrote that, when I went on his website, if I clicked some places on the website, e.g outside colour borders etc. it would send me to external websites such as adfly, etc and download malware, looking back at this now, I have gone on the site a few months later and their seems to be no problems, this may have been an issue with my PC already having malware on it and sending me to links when clicking pages on chrome, please exscuse my comment, I do not know what happened and if I have offended anyone or anthing else then I'm sincerely sorry, as ive stated, now that I look back, I cannot see any malware etc. therefore I apologise as this was unintentional if it was just on my end.
