Trying to edit weapon sounds, all weapon sounds muted instead

Featured Replies

So I downloaded a glock weapon model, game boots and everything into lspdfr. I then wanted to download a simple weapon sound mod for it and found this: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/audio/21149-glock-gun-sound-by-johnwhite/ I followed the readme to its instructions, but when I get in game, ALL weapon sounds are muted, except for bullet impacts and other game sounds. I was confused so I searched google, found the openIV video to install weapon sounds which is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymLrNTjGBXA&feature=emb_logo, followed it completely, but got the same result, muted weapon sounds (also watched other videos, all same installation procedures). When I revert the mods folder weapon sound files back to default, the weapon sounds are back, but I am confused to why I can't seem to modify the weapon sounds. Any help is appreciated! (I went into the resident.rpf and replaced PTL_PISTOL_SHOT.R.wav as well as into WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf with PTL_PISTOL_SHOT.L.wav)
