Wishing for FPS to be a pushed narrative

Featured Replies

Well, here goes nothing but maybe this will gain popularity and have the devs do us a favor! So i was thinking, if there was a possibility to optimize the mod even further to increase frame time stability and fps? by no means am i saying this game modification should run on a duel core cpu lol, but for the people out there still on 4c/4t it'd be nice to see some sort of performance improvement as far as traffic stops (cars around you usually are affected causing stuttering until the current car thats being pulled over stops), cars pulling over for your siren (that are way behind you already, which im guessing could be a factor of fps drop), and other "ambient" functions such as ambient traffic stops from AI police and AI patroling the area (for me ive turned off all settings included with ambient spawns and it still spawns the traffic stops (which i get horrible stutters and fps loss from) while also still spawning ambient patroling officers. by no means am i a boy who cried wolf, im just trying to see if its even possible to further optimize this BEAUTIFUL modification.. thank you to every single one of you! I appreciate you ten fold!

It's unfortunately hard at this time to further improve the framerate since we cannot really narrow it down to slow code bits anymore. I've sent out quite a few diagnostics builds after the 0.4 release to fix the biggest issues but the ones you mention seem to occur even for some people on higher-end hardware without a clear indication as why. I'll keep an eye open but for the time being I think you have to live with it.

All good, I didn't think you were unappreciative at all 🙂  I definitely understand that it is annoying and I know that there are still quite a few people having problems with it, just wanted to be honest about not getting your hopes up anytime soon.
