Prophet's Whelen Alpha 1.0.0

(2 reviews)

1 Screenshot

This is a simple audio modification that swaps out the default police tone's with those from a Whelen Alpha siren system. This modification changes the tones for the regular Police vehicles i.e not the FIB Buffalo, Rancher or Bike. I did this on purpose so that the siren does not become the only tones you hear during a pursuit that involves multiple agencies. Video below gives a brief demo of the different tones in action.

To install follow this simple tutorial from OpenIV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymLrNTjGBXA

You have to go into resident.rpf then move the OEC into the directory of Resident.rpf.

If that is what you're doing then will the game launch in offline mode?

Maybe try and reinstall original sound files try and launch and then try again with modded.

If still not successful I will attempt to reupload fresh files.

Great siren, but for some reason anytime I try to put a siren into resident.rpf, GTA V tries to install an update because resident.rpf is corrupted. Any idea what this might be?

Read my previous post.

Okay looks like everything works in offline mode, so the files are good, but when I try running regular GTA V it does the same thing.

Hmm so it's definitely  client side.. I'm not really a specialist on troubleshooting so I wouldn't know where to begin to help..

Yeah same here whit every sound mod i have i tried. Install is fine but when i launch the game it updates all the files. I have managed to get them working this way.

1) Start open IV and get  resident.rpf and everything ready remember click "edit button"

2) start the game whit the launcher and log in to social club

3) When the social club has loaded then install sound mod and it works.

the bad thing in this method is that u have to do this every time u launch the game and the 2nd time you start the game after this method u have to download the orginal files again. so this is not a solution....BUT hey Any other ideas??!!

just disconnect your Internet then run GTA. Can't be the file because no one else has claimed it to be corrupted. Plus thereally is another user who had a similar issue which was resolved once they launched offline. :/ sorry about that.

P.S do you use a mods folder? With OpenIV?

@Prophet Could you do a version that changes the tone of all police vehicles please? I like when my sirens match. :)

Hey man, please could you convert it to the ambulance siren and PM it to me? That would be great :D (I could import the wavs but I don't have GTA 5, and won't get it soon, so I am collecting lots of nice mods before they go to page 200 lol)

Amazing - love the echo effect!

Is there anyway you could publish a version compatible with the ambulance?

If so, that would be great!

@Prophet, is there anyway you could include another video for this siren? Your current video is unavailable.
