2017 Met Police Volkswagen Passat GTE Estate

For Emergency Lighting System V

With London planning on banning diesels and reconsidering the use of petrol cars the Met has started looking at alternative fuel methods for their fleet. This is one of the latest cars expected to be tested for the role of area car. The Volkswagen Passat GTE Estate is a plug-in hybrid meaning it has an electric motor and petrol engine. The Met Police are expected to be testing hybrid versions of vehicles for every role over the coming year. This is based on a real car as seen at the NAPFM 2017 event.

Please note this model only features a basic interior I am not focusing on fully functional interiors at the moment, this may be revisited in the future.

Features

Accurate model setup, equipment, and emergency lighting.

Handling line/meta based on real engine data as much as GTA 5 allows.

Accurate model and emergency lighting.

ELS VCF Config setup for these model.

Install instructions within the readme.

Low poly model for smoother game performance (79K Polygons)!

Templates for livery so you can make your own!

Multi-livery support.

Thanks, no we didn't set it up for that sound, but nothing is stopping you from doing it if you wish :P

I'm happy with how it is (the police will be using the petrol engine most of the time anyway) but if you want go ahead and leave some steps here and if anyone else wants too they can do it.

Hybrid engines so they can be quieter to sneak up on people? ;)

Nice that people like you are dedicated enough to pre-empt the Met in bringing these into use. It makes it a lot easier to keep that modern feel in GTA V.

Ha ha maybe that is one of the reasons :P But the main reason is because of our 'great' mayor who wants to ban every diesel in London by 2019.  It is the same reason that all London Taxis will be required to be electric in the next year or so.

It's not going to be easy, but it feels like there's cleaner air on the Underground than outside some days. I can see why he's trying to reduce diesel cars, but it's going to be a nightmare for the police (let alone the LAS).
