ELS Vanilla Emergency Vehicles Final

Thanks for this! I'm still glad the GTA IV modding community is still alive, and this is a great pack!

Thanks for the mod! I like ELS but I also like the vanilla cars, so your mod is almost perfect. Almost, because the police cruiser crashes the game, when I drive close to the Bohan police station. It's no problem with all the other stations or vehicles. Maybe it can be fixed?

I doubt that this is a problem related to the pack i never came across with this issue, and just to make sure, i played lcpdfr on bohan with these cars for a while and didn't have any issue. can you confirm that it is the police cruiser that is making your game crash and not something else?

I'm unable to get ELS working on the Complete Edition - seeing as you uploaded this pack recently, have you got a solution other than downgrading so that I can use this pack?

Thanks for caring and answering. Apparently the crash is a mixture of my stupidity and ELS. I was sure that the crash was caused by the cruiser, but I was wrong. I fixed the crashing by disabling ELS for the AI ind els.ini. Classic. I like it more when AI uses ELS but I know this is a common issue with ELS and not one of your mod.

I know this is probably not due to your mod, too but what I also noticed was, that I can only see the AI's siren lights, when I get up very close (with AI ELS off), not from a (even small) distance away. Can this be altered?

Sadly not man, i only work with version 1.0.7.0. i heard that complete edition is very buggy when it comes to using mods so yes i would recommend either downgrading or getting another version.

AI ELS makes my game crash a lot, at least for me. About the distance thing since AI ELS is off ai cars will spawn with random lights on and this is not controlled by els anymore so changing the distance settings in els.ini won't work, could you post a screenshot here so i can figure out what the problem is?

Thanks a lot for your offer, though I will just ditch ELS completely. It's just not worth it for me. It's too much of a hassle and I can enjoy LCPDFR just fine without ELS. Thanks again for answering anyway!

Non els is great for playing lcpdfr too, its a lot more basic than els and you don't have to deal with all the problems els has such as crashes and instability 😄

Anyway, as we're conversing so finely, I'd like to ask a question. I'm pretty late to the LCPDFR party I guess, since it's not developed further and not too many mods, especially callout mods are released anymore.. The LCPDFR main mod has too little callouts for my taste, but with all the callout mods mixed up installed together, I get crashes constantly. Is there a reliable list or can you give a recommendation, which callout mods work together well without crashing? Would really like to know, because testing it myself would probably take years.. Thanks!

Right now i'm using WouterCallouts + The Wasteland + Rush Hour + Backup Callout. Some people have issues with backup callout, so try if it works fine for you. I also use the policing script by bravehearth which provides various callouts that are pretty stable since those does not use the lcpdfr script to work.

Thanks! Are you familiar with the issue, that after you complete the first callout no next callout appears, no matter how long you wait? Switching the busy status didn’t help and also fiddling with the .ini to increase callout frequency didn’t work. I ended up reloading LCPDFR trough the console after each callout, but of course that’s very annoying. This on patch 7 with nothing else than LCPDFR and Trainer installed.. I just want to enjoy LCPDFR :( thanks for your callout recommendations though!

Some callouts require status update (ALT+E) for a new callout to show up

Hi, I have a problem that (mostly during a traffic stop) when i get out of my vehicle with my ELS on, it begin to blip and siren loudly after a minute of a half, I don't know if it's intended or not... If yes then how do i turn it off? I want my car to be quit during traffic stops because it just looks dumb.

I reinstalled my GTA IV and it helped, Perhaps i installed ELS wrong or it was just a script compatibility issue, Thanks for responding anyway!

I could provide you with some, however those textures will only work for the older version of this mod.

By the way, thank's for responding! I thought LCPD:FR is dead and i am literally the one who still remembers that there is an LSPDFR mod for GTA IV and who still plays it.

Since last update the vehicles became UV mapped.

I tried to open them with ZModeller but .wft models just won't open, no error messages, i just get a green cube and that's all.

How do i open those models? i just want to make some liveries for police2 and police

Sorry if my question is dumb, i am a complete zero in modelling and that kind of stuff, i just don't know how to work with new liveries.

It's fine, that happens because all models are locked, so they can't be imported to Zmodeler.

If you wish to make a custom livery i would suggest downloading the older version of this carpack.

I downgraded to Patch 1.0.7.0 and everytime I drive around for a few minutes the game does crash, I think it's because of ELS, I am using this car pack here, is there any solution?

The AI using ELS lights is the most common reason for crashes related to ELS, see if it is enabled and disable it on the ELS.ini file.

If that doesn't help then i'm not sure what the reason could be, it's highly unlikely to be this carpack since i remade and fully optimized the cars on the last update.
