    Hey dude, I am so sorry for your dog that it passed it away. It's really sad to hear for me to hear dogs passing away. Anyways, best advice I can give to you is to be a brave man. Along with that and yes it does help, I want you to get a balloon filled with nothing inside it, if you do have sand or something alike sand, then fill it up in there. After that, tie the balloon up and sit for five minutes thinking what you did with your dog in the past such as activities, cry if you have to just to let it out. Whilst doing that, squeeze the "balloon filled with sand" around for five minutes, whilst squeezing it, move it around like squeezing it but moving it around your palm if you know what I mean. If that helped and I swear it should help, reply back.
