A rip-off?
I did check on part picker. But considering free shipping, general warranty and pre-isntalled W10, it doesnt really seem a bad idea. Plus the case looks great. I thought exatcly the same @onebad97cobra. Those damn cryptominers screwed the GPU market over the few past months. Its a sure thing if you buy this PC when parts hit a very high price. Both consumer and store are protected

A rip-off?
Question of the day: CPU: Intel i5 7400 QuadCore (3.0 GHZ; 3.5 at turbo) GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 || 8GB RAM: 16 GB DDR4 Ram || 2133 GHZ Storage: SATA-III HDD 1TB [I know I know, sucks not having SDD as primary for the OS] Includes a 22" Widescreen 1080p monitor Full HD, LED keyboard + Mouse+Pad, a G2 AVP Gamer headset and pre-installed Windows 10. Cost: 1532$ For a prebuilt, is this a rip-off? Because the offers seem atractive...

Shopping for computer to run LSPDFR
I know this reply is late but you got me scared with the first setup. But now with this second one, you made a good choice. An i3 would be a no-no. The 8GB ram would be a no-no. The 2GB VRAM GPU would be a no-no. But this one is actually noice. The only bad thing is the single unit SSD. If you want to play with mods, you'll need 2 directories to play Online without consequences so that will be 70GBx2... yeah GTA 5 is huge but you also need a backup even if you dont play Online. But yeah an external HDD could easily solve that. Other than that, good build man. Could you tell me how much you spent on this?

Build Checkup
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about the typical 3 USB ports, two 2.0 and one 3.0. Your right. Im kust really worried if I pick a mid tower that will fail to house the GPU perfectly for example. Yeah the motherboard is absolutely getting changed. After deciding to stick with Intel CPU, I had no other clue on what MoBo I should choose. Ill look around to see a better fit. Thanks for solving the storage problem. I read other explanations but I still didnt get the issue. You seemed to kill all my doubts. Again, many thanks my man!

Build Checkup
I really need your guys help... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hB8rbj I'll say it right here, I'm a noob when talking about PC building so I need deep help and don't scared with the off-place parts, please comment any issue you find with this build. Any! Requests: -Suggestion of an adequate MotherBoard... I put the Gigabyte - GA-Z270XP-SLI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard randomly to sim a price WARNING: Read the compatability issues... Have no clue if the notes are actually correct or not. The storage seems fine to me so I don't get it. -Compatible PC Case when considering parts' size like the GPU and sockets. (Try to keep it low price; check if the parts are compatible like the PSU) -Comment any missing pieces (Already have mouse, pad and headphones... the monitor has built in speakers anyway. No need for optical driver) I know I'm asking a lot, but I would appreciate any help, no matter how little. PS: Post got duplicated for some reason. Would appreciate that a moderator could remove one of the two posts please. Thank you!

Help with optimizing settings
Theres not a lot you can do with that laptop. Software can't fix your hardware restrictions. My laptop has an i7 6700 HQ, 16GB of RAM and GTX 960M 2GB VRAM and still cant run LSPDFR at stable FPS at all times... Im afraid you'll have to do the same as me and build a cased PC because your hardware is not letting you expand your options on GTA 5... You'll need at least 16 GB ram for GTA 5, being shared by 2 RAM cards, 8 GB each in order to divide the load and have room for graphical variations and a 4GB VRAM GPU too If, you're still intesrested in finding a local solution, remove the TXAA and VSYNC maybe? Like I said, you're pretty much limited with that hardware.

Is this a good computer for lspdfr and gta
No its terrible. The CPU is weak and a 1GB of VRAM won't even run GTA 5 on medium, let alone heavily modded. Do like me, start studying the whole PC building stuff... It's pretty fun to plan your own build checking for parts at cheap prices. If you dont feel comfortamble about assemblying it, pay for someone to do it. It will still be cheaper than a pre built PC Also my reccomendation would be to buy at least a GTX 1050 with 4 GB of Video-RAM. Still, watch out for the number of plugins you install, mods are still unstable no matter the PC you have. And take advantage of the release of the new Ryden CPU. Cheaper than it's Intel counterpart and has almost the same performance. Good luck!

Police Simulator 18, what do you think? (VIDEO)
If you want to bet on any police sim project, check out Police 10-13... its still far away from alpha stage so you'll have to be patient, although it shows a lot of progress. The graphics are better than this and the models are very well detailed. Here's their roadmap: http://police1013.com/index.php/roadmap/

Will this setup run GTA V AND LSPDFR
yeah you have a powerful CPU. you re not lagging not because of the GPU, you dont lag because of the CPU.
-
Will this setup run GTA V AND LSPDFR
yeah but the plugins issue is not only involved on the GPU matter. Whats your CPU and RAM?

Will this setup run GTA V AND LSPDFR
If you want more than 10 plugins and still play without any breaks, you'll have to bump that graphic card to at least a GTX 1050 for a 4GB VRAM. GTA 5 is a complete whore when talking about VRAM. I have a 960M and still isnt enough to play at stable levels. 1050 is the minimum you can get. 1060 is optimal. 1080 is an overkill but you can cover all future games with that for a few years. but yeah with a 1050 you may have to spend 950 USD (at least) if you stay with 8gb ram and an i5. 1060 will draw you to the 1000 mark

What specs should I have for optimal LSPDFR experience?
yeah Keep Calm in fact causes perfomance loss. makes me go 20 fps at times. Ill put some money aside, see if I can land a 1060 at least and a i5 7th Gen. Thanks guys. you have great rigs by the way

What specs should I have for optimal LSPDFR experience?
Mine is ok too but after like a few plugins this becomes almost unplayable. For example, can't even play with Keep Calm mod... its very annoying having those peds always freaking out. Maybe a 1050 will do the job too

Ps4 Controller, July 2017, goal to get it working properly
Yes use this one. Its perfect. You install it once and bam! You can play while wired or Bluetooth. I prefer wired so whenever I wanna play PS4 I dont need it to plug it in to the USB port again so that PS4 accepts that controller. Just make sure you plugin your controler WITHOUT being in-game. Otherwise if you wanna play without exiting the game to activate DS4, you'll need to go to option and recalibrate controller. Not that annoying if you forget once in a while tho.

What specs should I have for optimal LSPDFR experience?
@SpikeTerm @Check Pl3se I was thinking about a 7th Gen i5 and a GTX 1060... I know aint getting that with 900€ so ill stretch the budget a bit. But is that good enough? Oh and 16 GB ram.

What specs should I have for optimal LSPDFR experience?
So I've been playing LSPDFR for a while and I absolutely love it. Its incredible how much this adds to the GTA 5 experience. Thing is I have a ROG GL552VW gaming laptop. Not bad at all since it handles vanilla GTA 5 fairly good with a 2GB GTX 960M and 16GB ram, i7 too. I noticed that LSPDFR reduces FPS by a huge ammount. I run at medium 50'ish FPS on vanilla but I get drops to 20 sometimes on modded GTA 5. I understand since its something the game wasnt designed to handle... ---------------- tl;dr My next goal right now its to build a brand new PC. And I know there are a few guys that can play LSPDFR on at least 50 FPS with High settings... my question is, what specs should I focus on and what parts could you suggest, considering price/benefit? Budget is nearly 900 € so obviously I won't blow everything on a GTX 1080ti so be realistic...
