Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with a Whelen Edge Ultra Freedom Super-LED lightbar, Whelen 700 Series Super-LED grille lights and Whelen Avenger Super-LED deck lights.

Ford Crown Victoria - Code3 MX-7000:
Early model second generation CVPI with blade grille & boot/light-cluster chrome fascia. Fitted with a Code3 PSE MX-7000 lightbar and Whelen 400 series strobes.

Vehicle is optimized for ELSv8's "digital rotors". As such, the satellites rotate around a steady-burn light, thus creating an improved rotating halogen light effect.
The lightbar has been fitted with clear glass, using coloured interior filters as opposed to coloured glass casing.

Configured to use ELSv8's Corona TakeDowns. ELSv8 configuration file included.

Information


Two Crown Vics with unique lighting setup that ensures maximum light output at off-angles, especially rearward. Versions of both cars without rear Vertexes are included.
The cars are designed for use in Alderney and contains custom skins for policing port Tudor and Acter. Additional default skins includes Traffic policing, U.R.I.N.E. (Urban Reaction, Intervention, Narcotics Enforcement) Team, SWAT and “stealth

Package contains two models, a marked patrol car called Allan and a unmarked patrol car called Dan.
The marked unit are equipped with Setina PB-400 and PB-5 Pushbar & fender wraps, Federal Signal Arjent lightbar.
The skins are set up for carcols.dat, the recommended carcols value for the marked car is:

0,0,0,
Edit your carcols.dat and replace the values for the slots you installed the car model over.
The unmarked car can use any option, or left as is, colour can be changed in-game using a trainer.

The lights on the unmarked car was decided on the basis that a unmarked car will not be involved in the same type of tasks as a marked patrol car is. Unmarked cars typically do not need to warn other motorists in the same way as a marked unit does. A unmarked vehicle spends less time responding to calls. Additionally, a unmarked unit is rarely on-scene without at least one marked unit.
The Avenger is positioned in a way that will increase the likelihood of other motorists seeing the car in their mirrors.

Background replacement for the original LCPDFR 1.0 police computer made from scratch using high quality logos, text and graphics.

General information

Second update for Grayson and Dixie, two 2011 Dodge Chargers in Police Package trim. The vehicles are equipped with Setina The Bodyguard partitions, Whelen® PAR-46™Spotlights, SecuRom® antennas, ANPR cameras and Panasonic® Toughbooks™

Optional versions of both models without ANPR cameras are provided in the package



Authors notes

This pack is the first release using the 2011 Police Package Charger converted by NicolaiB. The base car model is not fully completed and more alterations will occur before the next release with the model.

This pack contains two unique cars, a marked patrol car nicknamed Grayson and a stealth/slicktop car nicknamed Dixie. Both vehicles are equipped with three boot-lid mounted ANPR cameras in order to comply with the feature added in LCPDFR 1.0. ANPR-less options for both cars are included in the package.

All cars are designed for use with a modified carcols.dat file in order to reduce the performance impact caused by using car modifications, the recommended carcols value for both cars are:

21,21,21,
Edit your carcols.dat and replace the values for the slots you installed the car models over.

Known issues:
Headlight texture error black dot visible in headlights at night, will be fixed when possible (new texture needed)
Texture archive size is too big, will be reduced for future releases
B pillar see-though at the top, error in original model, not likely to get fixed.
Rear corner markers shatter if front lights are damaged, will be fixed for future releases

General information





The model is equipped with a slanted chrome grille, 2001 CVPI rims, a police centre console, a Unity® spotlight and two SecuRom® Antennas on the boot.

The vehicle has minimal lighting to the front and rear, the rear having more obvious lights as the player is more likely to look at this part of the car. The grille lights may appear as dim, this is to replicate the low output by the 5mm LED bulbs in the 500 series 5mm LED module (50*00F*R).





The grille lights protrudes past the grille itself as the 500 series module requires a casing, the casing used in the model is a black flange (5FLANGEB) which is further mounted on a custom black plastic block that are mounted to the grille itself using screws on the inside of the grille.

Authors notes





The vehicle was built based on the idea that a police agency like the LCPD wouldn't equip their large fleet of vehicles with a tonne of lights, especially unmarked cars and other vehicles that aren't assigned to front line response are often outfitted with minimal lighting and equipment to appease accountants.





The vehicle itself may have some inaccuracies for the exact model year, this is easily negated by the reason that a department like the LCPD would repair their fleet with whatever parts they have available in-house at the time of repair.






The vehicle is equipped with a police computer, a Unity Spotlight and a police console with various equipment fitted.





The model has multiple liveries enabled, however the skin included contains license plates and a black rear fascia only, enabling the player to manually change colour using a trainer.

The cars are equipped with the latest literation of Whelen's successful Justice series lightbar, sporting LIN-6 modules instead of the traditional TIR-3 modules.

Each car comes in two versions, one version with a six module Whelen Dominator installed on the pushbar and a version without Dominator.

Also included is 2 additional lightemissive textures, one is all-blue (replacing two centre amber modules with blue) and a red-blue version.
Lighting textures are solid colours as it looks better on my end, .psd included for those that wish to further modify the lights.

All cars have multiple liveries enabled, however extra textures are not included to keep file sizes down.
Templates for both cars as well as windows are included in the file, they can be found in the folder called additional

-Installation -
Extract the archive to a desired location, models with and without rambar lights can be found in their respective folders.
Both versions require the same .wtd that can be found in the folder called wtds.

Import the desired models to GTA IV using SparkIV or OpenIV, remember to include texture files.

It's here, there big car pack finally released!


The pack contains five cars, two CVPI's (steel rim + hub caps version), Dodge Caravan, Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Impala.

All cars are equipped with a Federal Signal Legend Solaris lightbar, Whelen LIN-6 grille lights, Whelen Avenger dash & deck lights.

Included is the ELS V7 configuration file, copy it to your ELS folder located in your game directory and update your ELS.ini and it will work!
The pack contains an alternate red-blue light file, however you must update the ELS V7 configuration file yourself.

Templates for all the cars ARE included.

###################### INSTALLATION ######################

1. Install a skin by opening your vehicles.img file using SparkIV or OpenIV.

2. Navigate to the vehicle in question, open the .wtd file.

3. Find the vehicle skins in the wtd file, usually named "police_sign_x" X being a number from 1 to 4.

4. Import/replace the desired liveries, remember to save and rebuild.

5. If using multiple liveries:
5.1 Open vehicles.ide.
5.2 Navigate to the corresponding vehicle line.
5.3 Add "+livery" to the end of the line, save and exit the file.


6. If the base colour of the vehicle isn't white:
6.1 Open carcols.dat
6.2 Find the line corresponding to the vehicle in question
6.3 Replace the line with the following values: "175,177,177,"
6.4 Save and exit the file.
