These vehicles were in a pack together and they have the same lightbar. the rest of the lights on it work fine. I don't think its an issue with the ELS file but it might be. I double checked that its the right ELS file and i tried using the ELS file from the explorer and it still did the same thing. they have all of the same lights. on the working vehicle the lightbar is white. on the one that's not working the lightbar is black like its tinted. this makes be think its some sort of texture issue. both the explorer and Tahoe have the same files for the light colors and all that and i tried replacing the tahos files with the explorers files and it didn't fix. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm trying to replace the swat granger and there aren't many ELS suburban/Tahoe mods that i could use instead so i would like to use this one. any help is appreciated.

Why not? I've done it for a few vehicles because I couldn't tell if it was a replace file or the original one. I dont put everything in patchday25 because some mods say they go in different patch days. I deleted the vanilla sheriff files and I also deleted the vanilla police3 files and the vehicles still work fine. Should I put the vanilla files back? I dont think the yellow light is from an old vehicle. Is there any particular texture file I should look for? Theres one that's just a circle that maybe looks like a light but theres no color. It's just a dark grey circle thing.

No. Maybe it's from the old sheriff files that came with the game? Do you happen to know which patchday it's in? It's in patchday1ng. The vanilla sheriff car has a +hi.ytd. I'll try deleting it. Deleting it didn't fix it

I've replaced every other light on the car with blue using gimp. I cant find where this yellow light would be coming from in the texture files for the car. You can only see the yellow light when you're in front of the car, it disappears when you go behind the car or get inside of the car. It blinks with the rest of the lights its not always on. i have a mod called "better emergency lights" and i really like it but the police lights dont get brighter until youre within about 10 feet of the police car. How do i make it so that the lights are bright at a farther range? Some of my replacement police cars are so dim that you can barely see the lights so its kind of pointless to have this mod if I have to be right on the cop to see them anyway. This was included in the readme. Im pretty sure i can adjust this on my own but im not sure which one to mess with. Edit: im not sure why its marked as spoiler and i dont know how to change it sorry.

im having an issue in gta5 where the sirens mute after about 20 minutes of playing the game. The click sound in menus also goes mute. This started after i installed the ELS mod. I alos have replacement sound effects for the sirens but i dont think its related. Any ideas on how to fix this?

im fine with completely removing the the screens in the vehicles if i can. Can you link a youtube video on how to do this? Im really liking this mod so far but I have to be within 10 feet of the cop car for it to become brighter. is there any way to extend the range?

The light it puts on the environment is fine because i have ELS its just the radio lights and stuff in civilian cars. i posted a screen shot in my other reply. But if its impossible to fix i guess ill just deal with it. thanks.

https://ibb.co/QrYJVns this is what im talking about. I found a mod that dims all other lights but makes emergency lights brighter but it still makes the screens in cars super bright. Is there any way to fix this or am i just going to have to deal with it?

Are there any mods that increase the brightness of emergency lights but not headlights and brake lights? RadiantV is good but i dont like what it does to other lights. on a motorcycle at night you cant even see where youre going. It also makes the dash board lights and radio in some add on cars really bright but not in a good way. Are there any mods that only work for emergency lights? Some of the police cars I have are really dim and need a mod to brighten them. I already have ELS but i want the lightbar itself to appear brighter.

is there any way I can make it so the cops don't yell stuff through the intercom while they're chasing you? its really annoying especially when they yell the same 4 voice lines over and over again. It would be great if there was some mod or something i could do to disable it. Also, is there a way i can make it so police helicopters don't shoot? I replaced the gunshot sounds and they're really loud. When the police helicopters shoot its just loud and annoying. Its also not very realistic. I saw a mod to completely remove the helicopters but I would rather keep them and just not have them shoot.

yeah i just had to go to vehicles.rpf. the pack was a single dlc.rpf file so i didnt think i could change it, but i got it thanks.

Im new here so please excuse any errors i made. I downloaded a car replace pack that replaces every car in the game. I have the same pack in dlc.rpf and oiv so I can try to change either one. the problem is that this replace pack replaces the cop cars with really ugly non ELS vehicles. I already replaced the cop cars with vehicles that i want but the pack is over riding them. I want to remove the cop cars from the replace pack so that i can use my own vehicles. is this possible?
