At approximately 05:46AM on 12th December 2021, Officers responded to a 911 call of a body found in an alleyway near Crusade Road, South Los Angeles.
 
Initial report by the Los Angeles County Coroner suggests that the victim died from his wounds which considted of two shots to the chest, and one to the head.
 
Investigators are yet to arrive on scene and are unable to provide any further information in regards to the situation and will publish a public notice shortly.
 
Crusade Road will remain closed and diversions have been put in place by the Department of Transport.

Sergeant Matthew Casey, of the LAPD Motorcycle Unit along with colleagues from the Metropolitan Division we're engaging with the community in Beverly Hills providing information on vehicle safety and vehicle theft prevention.
 
Community Engagement was seen as a Success for the LAPD as vehicle theft in the area was reduced by 2% over the course of two weeks.
