  1. A little bit off topic - but I didn't want to create a new thread. How do I create wig-wags JUST for the inner-headlight on the Tahoe? I don't want the entire headlight lense/casing to flash. I already know how to do that. I want to make it more realistic, and just have the small headlight flash. Can provide video if you don't understand what I'm trying to say.
  2. Which ones are you talking about? Having only the rear lights activate on Stage 1? Because that's how the agency I work for does it. Most agencies in this state have their lighting setup like that. Stage 1 - Rear Lights Stage 2 - All lights, minus wig-wags Stage 3 - All lights
  3. Got it working. Thanks! Would have been nice to know... :) Getting excited about this model. Now that I'm learning more and more about modeling (slowly.....) I think this should be at least a decent one.
  4. So... I just restarted modeling again. I've almost got this problem solved, but a problem is still persisting and I can't figure it out. Here's what I've done. I've configured/mapped my ELS on my lightbar to turn on ONLY the rear lights when in Stage 1. I have also configured it to activate all lights that can be seen from the REAR of the vehicle, to activate on Stage 1. The problem I'm running into, is that some lights on the lightbar aren't lighting up correctly. The color in the lightbar flashes, but not a bright flash. It's more of a dull flash. Here's a video to show you... On stage 3 ALL lights on the vehicle work properly. It's just on Stage one, 4 lights (3 on the light bar and 1 license plate light) aren't lighting up properly. You can see in the video, I start with Stage 3 to show all lights are working - then back to Stage 1 to show those 4 lights aren't working properly - then back to Stage 3 to show all lights working again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4Z3CZ4Bwmg&feature=youtu.be I can upload additional video/screenshots of hierarchy if need be.
  5. Okay... so what would be my next steps to fix this problem? And again, since I am very ignorant when it comes to modeling, why do I need to attach all my accessories and lighting together?
  6. I'm guessing it's the placement of extras. The textures aren't the issue. When I start the car up, I can see the Avengers in the rear-window perfectly fine (textures are there). But once the engine is started, they light up like a takedown. I DID export the avengers from the Whelen Avenger Dev pack. Except I have NO idea if I did it properly.... I have never been taught/nor found any useful tutorials on how to do so. So that could also, possibly be my problem?
  7. I'm back again. Running into some issues, this time modeling a 2013 Ford Explorer. I have placed two Whelen Avengers in the rear window, of this Explorer (split red/blue). However, depending on where it is in the hierarchy, they are continually lit up (white). But the red/blues still work, you just can't really see them. When I place the avenger base models (not the red/blue lights) ABOVE bumper_f and bumper_r they are lit up. But when I place them below, the entire light module disapears. But the red/blue part of the lights, still work. It's strange... I can take a video if ned be. My question never got answered the first time... I figured I'd try again.

  9. So I attached those light's L0's to extra_1 and extra_4. It won't mess up the lightbar if I drag those out of the lightbar hierarchy? Also, do I actually need to "Attach" them? As in, use the attach tool in Zmodeler?
  10. Hi folks, So here's a problem I'm running into. I can't figure out how to "attach" the ELS lights to the trunk of the Tahoe I'm modeling. I would like the two near the rear license plate to stay attached as the trunk is opened (Thanks ELS v8!) and I also need to put two LEDs in the trunk, that are visible when it's open. Any solutions?
  11. Hey, thanks! It worked. It's still not 100% perfect, but it will do. Now all that's left to do... is to fix the liveries and I will release a public version. :)
  12. Hi Folks, I posted about this a few weeks ago, but never received a helpful reply. So I'm hoping someone can help now... Here's what's happening. (I'm using a custom-made Tahoe I would like to release as soon as I fix it, and fix up the liveries) When I'm in-game, and repair with Simple Native Trainer, the vehicle shifts forwards a little. And if I hold it down, it slowly and continuously moves fowards until I release the repair hotkeys. I obviously messed something up when I was in Zmodeler, because it didn't used to do this. I have attached a video of what happens. Any help would be greatly appreciatd!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wB9zQg94KvU
  13. It moves a foot or so every time I press CTRL + Numpad 1 (for quick repair via SNT) Then if I hold down that key combination, the car slowly slides forwards until I release those keys. (I can take video if you're still not getting what I'm talking about.)
  14. So... I've been modeling a Chevy Tahoe, and since I'm fairly new to modeling, I believe I messed something up, and I have no idea how to fix it. Everything was fine, until I was installing a part, and I must have moved something else along with the part, because now... every time I "repair" my vehicle with SNT, my car moves forwards. How do I fix this? Please keep in mind, I'm no expert when it comes to Zmodeler.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KgJk65l3RA A quick video update on what the Tahoe looks like now. I replaced interior textures with an updated 2013 textures. So there's no more wood pattern panels, and tan colored seats.
  16. Perfect, thanks! I would never have figured that out... If you can't tell already. I'm new to modeling and still very ignorant.
  17. I appreciate the input fellas. I'm going for 100% realism to this actual agency (Marion County Sheriff's Office) Since I work for this agency, I get a first hand look at the vehicles. So I now exactly how they're suppose to look. So the lighting is exactly on par, with what we have in our Tahoes. As for the flex fuel, LT, Tahoe, and hitch... I can't figure out how to remove them! I've tried... maybe I'm just dumb. Haha
  18. Hi folks, I'm looking to get my hands on a gun mount (two rifle, vertical mount) for use in the Tahoe I am modeling at the moment. While I'm at it... here's a short list of things I'm trying to get a hold of. - 2011 or newer Chevy Tahoe (unlocked) - Setina PB400 Pushbar w/ wrap-around (Or wrap-around I can attach to already released Setina pushbar) - Two rifle vertail gun mount/lock (as mentioned above) Here's a sneak peak of the Tahoe. (I've posted pictures before, but this is the updated/improved version)
  19. Just sent you a PM with the download link to the project/wtd, wft files. Thanks for all your help! Also, here's the ELS v8 VCF file for the vehicle as well, so you kinda get the idea of what the lights are suppose to look like.
  20. Okay, so here's what I did. Repeated process from above, by... 1. Making copies of reverselights 2. Moved away from polpatriot.wft reverse lights 3. With selected mode ON.... I assigned the "emerglights_ion_lightsemissive" texture to both reverse lights 4. With vertices mode ON, and selected mode ON I selected "Surface>Mapping>Edit UV" and clicked on the reverse lights - selected all the points (red points) and click on it again to bring up the mapping window - Set generate new, and force material to the one above 5. Attached newly blue colored reverse lights to extra 2 and 3 this time 6. Exported as wft.. swapped copies in OpenIV So far going in-game now crashes me. Hmmphh... Update: Still doesn't work. Obviously I'm doing something wrong... If you want. I can upload the wft and wtd files, and you can take a peek if you wish.
  21. It does not say "lightsemissive" at the end. Does it actually have to? So I should create a new material, or use a texture that says "lightsemissive" at the end? Yes, I have been moving it in the correct direction. It is set in FRONT of the reverse lights. When I don't trying to re-map it, it will flash white just fine. But when I re-map it to a blue texture, it does not do anything.
  22. I used "emerglights_emis321" It was a texture that came with one of the lights I'm using. (I modified the blue/red textures to look... better than default). I will attempt to understand your reply, and try that.
  23. Thanks for all your suggestions, I really appreciate it. So here's what I did... using some tutorials as guides. 1. Made copies of the reverse lights, and moved them away from the regular polpatriot.wft reverse lights. (same method as making wig-wags) 2. I selected the new copies, with select mode on I assigned one of my emerglights_lightsemissive textures. Then with vertices mode on, I selected it (Surface>Mapping>Edit UV) and assigned/forcematerial to the emergliths_lightsemissive texture I chose. 3. Went ot UV mapper mode in one of my open windows, and moved the reverse light around to the spot I wanted it at. 4. Repeat process for other reverse lights (left and right) 5. Attached the newly colored blue reverse lights to extra 1 and extra 4 off my lightbar However, when I go in-game nothing happens. It is just normal. My reverse lights are still the same color when I'm backing up (white) but there is no blue flashing reverse lights when I have my overhead lights activated.
  24. Hi, so I'm trying to create a Tahoe modeled after the agency I work for. However I have run into a bit of a challenge... I need to make the reverse lights flash blue, while the tail-lights flash red. Can't figure out how to make them blue.. I can get them to flash white, like a takedown/wig-wag. Any solution?
