Yeah, a mods folder is really helpful in those situations, but it's obviously up to you.
Another thing that personally happened to me is when I used the custom loading screen option in the rage menu it crashed my game. So that may have been the problem as well.

To get the actual plugins to load, you need to hold shift while launching rage. A window will pop up, go to settings and check off windowed mode. Then click launch. It should load the plugins. Once your game launches you should have the icons now.

D3ADxH4Z3 got a reaction from LibertyDesigns in Installed and extracted, but not working
    Hey there,

I spent the day downloading and extracting everything I needed to get and making sure it was where it goes. Everything was installed and it looks like everything is where the guide said it needed to be. I start the rage plugin, it boots up gta 5 through my steam, and it runs fine. However when I get into the game in story mode, no police departments are marked. I went to the one at the impound and tried to activate it, and got 3 stars immediately. Its like it isn't even there but i followed the directions. Is there something i need complete in game first? or did I just mess something up? I've tried to troubleshoot and I am at a complete loss
